I have an MP3 player (Creative Zen Vision M) that I plugged into my computer speakers today. The way I did it was that I plugged the green audio jack that usually goes into the computer’s sound card into the headphone jack of my MP3 player. It seems to work fine, but I wasn’t sure if this is a safe thing to do or not.

i used to do this too. i know from experience it is perfectly safe and you have nothing to worry about. just letting you know it does disable the sound from your computer, but there are other ways of being able to use both at the same time. now i just play my zen vision m through my 360 and tv speakers.
Perfectly safe, They are exactly the same connections, alot of higher end speakers systems offer the functions of plugging ipods into the speaker systems.
Plug it in all you want and crank up the volume
yeah but do it too much or it won’t work on your mp3
