My computer speakers will not play sound anymore. I have them hooked in correctly.
When I listen to music, the song plays but I can’t hear anything. I went to my volume control and the volume is the same as it always is.
The speakers make this weird noise when I turn the volume up to the maximum. It sounds like static.
What do I do?

You need new speakers, the wiring is messed up (broken who knows where).
Go to control pannel and sounds. Have your computer test your speakers to see if there is a problem. If none is found you need to buy new speakers.
It sounds like your speakers are shot, either that or you need to get your hearing checked, heh.. just kidding.
i was going to say do a sound test but now since your hearing static return them or by new ones
buy new speakers.. $10.00 at wal-mart
I think you need to buy a new pair of speakers
I’m going to tell you to DOUBLECHECK YOUR CONNECTION. The connection should be going into the GREEN jack. The reason I say this (and I’m no where near saying your stupid, as I have done it myself a million times) is that not everyone understands the color coordination on the audio cards. Pink is usually microphone, and blue is…. well, I’m not sure what blue is.
If this still doesn’t work, make certain that your speakers are not accidentally muted on the PC side.
Check all chords to make sure they are plugged in correctly. Also check the volume control both on the pc & on the speakers.
